Amanda Seyfried, who is perhaps most well known for her portrayal of Karen Smith in the film Mean Girls, has tied the knot with fiancé Thomas Sadoski.
The 31-year-old star, who is currently expecting the couple’s first child, was married in secret last Sunday… a mere six months after confirming her engagement to the fellow actor.
Tommy confirmed the exciting news during an appearance on The Late Late Show on Thursday, referring to the Mama Mia! actress as his “wife.”
“We eloped,” he told host James Corden. “We just took off into the country with an officiant and just the two of us, and we did our thing…We had a great day. It was perfect.”
“It was beautiful. It was everything that it should be. It was just the two of us talking to each other,” he added.
But that isn’t exactly true… the couple also brought along Amanda’s beloved dog, Finn, to bear witness to the special occasion.
Tommy explained that he and his new bride – who chose to write their own vows for the momentous occasion – followed the ceremony with a walk through the country and a simple dinner.
“You take the dog and you walk through the country and you go home, and you have your life.”
“We went out to dinner. It was awesome. We had a great day. It was perfect,” he added.
Describing his new bride, the I Smile Back actor revealed, “she’s the person I love, admire, respect most in the world.”
How cute are these two?! The pair first met when they were starring opposite each other in the play The Way We Get By in 2015.
The marriage marks Amanda’s first, while it will be the second marriage for Tommy; the 40-year-old only recently divorced his first wife of eight years, Kimberley Hope.
A representative for the cute couple confirmed their engagement to Us Weekly back in September.
“Tommy and Amanda recently got engaged and shared the happy news with family and close friends,” a friend of the costars told the publication.
Amanda announced the news that she was expecting her first child while attending a press launch for Givenchy’s new Live Irrésistible fragrance, which she is the spokesmodel for. At the event, the actress wore a Givenchy black mini dress that showed off her blossoming baby bump, et voilà – the word was out!
The pair haven’t released Amanda’s due date but it looks as if it could be any day now!
While appearing on the talk show, Tommy touched on his status as dad-to-be revealing that he’s “not at all ready” to be a father.
“I’m more excited about this than I’ve ever been about anything in my whole life, but I’m also more terrified about it than anything I’ve ever been in my entire life. If I’m too confident, then I’m just kidding myself,” he said.
