Following reports her ex-husband Charles Saatchi is dating What Not To Wear star Trinny Woodall, Nigella Lawson is seeking comfort from New York celebrity chef Anthony Bourdain, best known for his Kitchen Confidential books and show.
The famously fiery Bourdain, 57, has been 53-year-old Nigella’s shoulder to cry on since her quickie divorce from Saatchi.
Nigella and Saatchi ended their 10-year marriage after pictures were published of him with his hands wrapped around her neck at a London restaurant.
He chose the same restaurant to meet Trinny in London last week.
Since the split, Nigella has relocated to LA, where she’s filming the second series of TV cooking competition The Taste with co-star Bourdain, who is married to his second wife, Ottavia Busia.
The pair has taken refuge together at the Chateau Marmont hotel, where Bourdain is offering her “emotional support” as she keeps a low profile.
“Anthony has really taken her under his wing and is looking after her,” a source told the The New York Post.
While Nigella has refused to speak publicly about her marriage breakdown, Saatchi released a statement following their divorce.
“I feel that I have clearly been a disappointment to Nigella during the last year or so, and I am disappointed that she was advised to make no public comment to explain that I abhor violence of any kind against women, and have never abused her physically in any way.”
