In an interview on US chat show Jimmy Kimmel Live, comedian and all-round fabulous person Melissa McCarthy has explained her choice of Halloween costume from the year she was invited to Adam Levine’s Halloween party.
Melissa, 44 explained that she and the super-hot Maroon 5 front-man used to live in the same building together and that one year she got invited to his Halloween bash.
Being the renowned ladies’ man that he is, Levine’s Halloween guests consisted mainly of beautiful young women, all wearing variations on the same bikini as their “costume”.
Melissa meanwhile, showed up to the party dressed as her aunt Bernice and left her fellow party guests baffled by her non-sexual choice of attire.
“People were literally like, ‘What are you?!” Melissa told Jimmy Kimmel.
“Every single woman had a bikini on of a different ilk,” Melissa told the host. She said the only costumes were things like the “cavegirl” bikini and “medic” bikini.
She said the other guests “were so horrified” and confused as to why she would willingly choose to dress as a non-glamorous suburban relative.
“I’m pretty sure we got a pity invite – just so we wouldn’t call the cops,” Melissa said.
