Blake Garvey is the first to admit he isn’t perfect and is sorry for any pain he’s caused Sam Frost. But he maintains he’s been totally upfront with her.
After realising he proposed to the wrong girl, Blake made a heartfelt attempt to win Louise back. The pair have now shared their love story exclusively with Woman’s Day.
Meanwhile, the Bachelor has come under fire from Sam, who says she was hoping the rumours weren’t true. However, Blake says he never made a secret of his doubts about their relationship or his feelings for Louise. After getting caught up in the moment and proposing, he realised he’d made a mistake.
“It wasn’t fair to carry on with everything,” he says. “It wasn’t fair to Sam, it wasn’t fair to Lou…or myself. We had interviews booked and it was about to be announced on television that Sam and I were engaged and yet I just didn’t feel the romantic love I was supposed to.”
During their short relationship, Blake still had feelings for Louise and decided to tell Sam how he felt, but she refused to discuss it and asked him not to mention it publicly.

Since Blake and Louise spoke out about their romance, Sam has hit back, saying she’s heartbroken by the news they are in fact together and that she feels sorry for Louise.
“I do feel sorry for her. I don’t know if it’s going to work,” she told Ryan Fitzgerald and Michael Wipfli on their Nova Sydney radio show.
“Maybe he is genuine about Louise- and for Lou’s sake, I hope he is.
“I feel for her, because everything he says she believes in it. You have to have your wits about you and be more switched on to his stories,” she said.
Earlier in the week she commented on that fact the pair had finally come clean about their relationship.
“It’s quite heartbreaking,” Sam told Confidential. “I was secretly hoping the rumours weren’t true. It was really disappointing they didn’t come to me first and say, ‘By the way, this has happened.’ I think I deserved that.”

Sam went on to say, “After [the show stopped filming], Blake said he was confused and I totally got that. I told him, ‘Sort it out, I’ll be here.’ And because he proposed to me, I thought he was serious about me.
“Unfortunately he had other things on his mind, like pursuing Louise – and that’s the real reason we broke up. I just wish he’d told me.”
