Brooke Shields bombshell: “I lost my virginity to Dean Cain”

Brooke Shields has opened up about her sex life and losing her virginity to none other than Superman – aka Dean Cain in her new memoir, ‘There Was A Little Girl’.

Brooke, 49, may have played a teen prostitute in the 1978 film Pretty Baby but publicly she was always the face of abstinence – “the most celebrated virgin of our time,” as she puts.

In reality though, she now confesses that she really lost her virginity at 22-years-old, despite not getting married (to tennis star Andre Agassi) for another decade.

Brooke met Dean at Princeton University, where they were classmates and she said they were “instantly crazy” about each other. She writes that they were: “always holding hands and trying to find ways to be alone and kiss, but poor guy, I made him wait.”

“He was incredibly and painfully patient with me regarding sex,” Brooke recalls of Dean. It was her reaction afterwards that was rather dramatic though!

“Afterwards I got so overwhelmed that I jumped out of my bed. I actually kind of tumbled off it and started running” Brooke writes “I was buck naked streaking down a hallway and running like I had just stolen someone’s wallet. “

“Dean leapt up and ran after me with the comforter in his arms. He hugged me tight and asked me where I was going. I was afraid I was leaving my mother.

“I didn’t know where I began and where my mother ended and that meant I didn’t know how to fit Dean in.”

The new memoir, the full title of which is: There Was A Little Girl: The Real Story of My Mother and Me, primarily focuses on Brooke’s relationship with her stage-mother Teri, who brought her up in the spotlight and had a strong influence over how Brooke would relate to boys.

Brooke writes that she was: “terrified of physical contact with boys…I believe my mom wanted me to stay a virgin for as long as possible.”

“The whole virginity thing happened quite genuinely,” Brooke says of her abstinence.

Of her first time with Dean she said: “Of course, I wasn’t present emotionally but that’s a couple of years more therapy.”

Brooke also told People magazine that she called Dean to let him know that their story was being included in the book: “He said ‘As long as you’re happy with it, I’m comfortable with it,’ “.

“There’s nothing sordid about it. He’s such a good guy and a sweet human being.”
