Angelina Jolie may be a critically acclaimed director and Oscar winner, but when it comes to being a parent she shares the same concerns as the rest of us.
Angelina and Brad have hired a cyber-security team to make sure that their kids are safe on the internet.
“We have someone who monitors that,” the mother of six told PEOPLE.
Like a lot of us, Angelina fears that she isn’t prepared for the digital world.
The Unbroken director calls herself “old-school” when it comes to technology, saying she doesn’t use Facebook, Twitter or Instagram and prefers writing things down in a notebook.
However, she still understands that there are dangers online.
“It’s a scary new world,” the star says.
The cyber-security team monitors the Internet and social media content that their children, who range from ages 6 to 13, interact with.
“It’s so beyond what we understand,” Jolie says of her and Brad, who isn’t active on social media either. “We wouldn’t even know what to look for.”
While Angelina has a twitter account, it is completely handled by her team.
The 39-year-old is relieved that today’s technology wasn’t around when she was growing up.
“I got in enough trouble. It just would have been very documented.”
