David Beckham and his son Brooklyn were left shaken after being involved in a car crash as they left soccer training.
David, 39, was picking up his 15-year-old son Brooklyn from training with the Arsenal football club, where he was recently signed up as a player, when the pair were involved in an accident. The incident occurred outside the team’s training ground in Hertfordshire as David’s Audi had a collision with another vehicle.
The airbags in the family Audi were deployed, but thankfully while the pair were left “shaken”, they escaped serious injury.
A source close to David Beckham and his famous wife Victoria told the UK’s Telegraph: “They were shaken. It was quite a heavy prang at quite a speed but everybody walked away uninjured. Everybody’s fine. Thankfully the car’s airbags deployed.”
Two of Brooklyn’s opponents who had earlier played against him for Brighton’s under-16s in the match between Brooklyn’s Arsenal under-16s team, took to social media to tweet about the incident.
“Weird to play against Brooklyn Beckham earlier. Even weirder to be currently stuck behind David Beckham as he has crashed his car.”
Another player posted: “Just seen David Beckham looks like he got in a car crash and hurt his shoulder. Star struck by seeing David Beckham tbh.”
The accident comes only weeks after the news of Brooklyn’s signing with Arsenal was announced as it seems the teenager is already following in the footsteps of his famous Dad who signed with renowned team Manchester United – at just 16-years-old.
If a soccer career doesn’t work out for Brooklyn though, he’s always got a modelling career to fall back on as it seems he is also following the lead of his mother Victoria Beckham and getting involved in the fashion industry too!
