Natalie Imbruglia is the Coldplay singer’s ‘one that got away’ – and Gwyn is reeling.
As reports of extra-marital hook-ups spread far and wide following the implosion of Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin’s marriage, it seems clear neither party is innocent.
But if there is one name Gwyneth, 41, didn’t want to hear linked with her estranged husband, it’s that of the woman she was instinctively wary of all along – Australian pop singer Natalie Imbruglia.
The two share a history, having dated in 2002 before Chris met Gwyneth and while Natalie was on a break from Silverchair frontman Daniel Johns.
“Back in the day, I was a front-rower at their gigs,” Natalie revealed in an interview with News Limited. Natalie returned to her ill-fated relationship with the muso, but in 2009, six years after he married Gwyn, Chris (who’s been linked to Alexa Chung and Kate Bosworth) was still thinking about her.
