A video of rapper Jay Z being attacked by his wife Beyoncé’s enraged sister Solange after last Monday’s Met Gala in New York, has surfaced.
The footage, obtained by TMZ from inside an elevator, shows a visibly fuming 27-year-old Solangekicking, punching and swinging uncontrollably at her brother-in-law, while a seemingly composed Beyonce stands by calmly and looks on.
According to TMZ, the fight broke out when the trio stepped into the elevator at the end of the night.
“Solange went crazy, screaming at Jay before unleashing a violent attack,” TMZ reported.
At one point, the singer songwriter is seen trying to kick Jay, 44, who grabs her foot to stop her from kicking him. A bodyguard is also pictured trying to hold Solange back.
The trio later exited the elevator with a sour-faced Solange storming ahead as Jay Z held a hand to his jaw and Beyonce tried her best to put on a smile.
Beyonce was then seen leaving the event with her sister soon after the altercation.
