Former Miss Universe contestant Jesinta Campbell set tongues wagging yesterday but has since denied wedding rumours after flaunting a band on her left ring finger while attending a charity run in Perth on Sunday. It was initially thought that she and boyfriend Lance “Buddy” Franklin were hinting that they were engaged.
Jesinta, 22, attended the Swan River charity run in Perth, Western Australia over the weekend where she appeared on stage to help get the crowd warmed up before the run. As she stretched her arms, a gold band was clearly visible on her left wedding finger.
She has also recently posted a close-up image of herself wearing the band on Instagram. Given that this is where she first revealed that she and the Sydney Swans forward were an item last year, after posting a photo of them together, it was no surprise when people began to wonder if Jesinta was also dropping some serious marriage hints?
The ring itself appears to only be a plain gold band, but it was thought that perhaps it was a temporary ring until the pair upgrade to a diamond and make the announcement official.
A spokesperson has since said that the ring is simply just costume jewellery though, tellling The Daily Mail that: “She has had it for about 12 months and she wears it a lot.”
It’s clear that things are going well between the pair though, with Jesinta spending time with Buddy’s family. He posted this cute photo of the pair posing with his sister Bianca Giteau and her young children to Instagram over the weekend captioned: “Nothing beats family time”.
Perhaps Jesinta is getting to know her future in-laws? Time will tell! Either way, there’s now denying that this pair make a super-cute couple.
