George Clooney is one step closer to being a married man! George and his fiancé Amal Alamuddin have obtained a marriage licence in London.
Photos of the wedding announcement, displayed outside Chelsea Old Town Hall, show the couple plan to wed in Italy.
Amal lives in London where the public announcement of marriage licences is a legal requirement for U.K. citizens.
Amal flew into Milan, Italy with her mother on August 1 and has been spotted around the Lake Como area, where the George owns a villa.
In July, the Oscar-winning actor, 53, and the star lawyer, 36, were spotted having dinner with their parents in the area.
Actress Ellen Barkin, who starred with Geirge in Oceans Thirteen, also recently threw Amal a bridal shower in New York.
George and Amal announced their engagement in April, and recently gushed about his bride to be telling Variety “I’m marrying up!”
