Brad’s touching tribute to Angelina’s mother on their wedding day

As Angelina Jolie walked down the aisle to marry her love of nine years, Brad Pitt, she held her mother Marcheline Bertrand’s memory close to her heart.

Wearing a piece of her mother’s jewellery, Angelina’s special day took place exactly where she promised her mother it would – in France.

Speaking to People Magazine, Angelina revealed how the day was made all the more memorable thanks to Brad’s touching tribute to his wife’s late mother, during the ceremony at the family’s French estate, Chateau Miraval, on August 23.

The 39-year-old, who was extremely close to her mum, shared details of Brad’s beautiful tribute to Marcheline, who passed away in 2007 from ovarian cancer aged 56.

“Brad had a dedication to Marcheline engraved inside the chapel where we stood,” Ange told People.

The stunning actress went on to reveal that she and her brother, James Haven, wore special jewellery to commemorate their beloved mother.

Ange wore a little flower ring that once belonged to her mother, while James wore an angel pin that has been treasured in her mother’s jewellery box.

Ange promised her mother that she would  one day marry in France, and honoured her by celebrating the special occasion there.

“There are no words to express what an amazing woman and mother she was,” Angelina told People. “She was my best friend.”
