Catch a first glimpse of Amal’s amazing wedding gown as international magazines People and Hello! release images of George Clooney and his beautiful bride – but Woman’s Day will bring you the official wedding album on Thursday.
To most people, George Clooney, 53, and Amal Alamuddin, 36, look positively glowing with happiness. But what do the experts think?
We asked relationship expert and marriage consultant expert Philipa Thornton if she thinks the pair will last, based on her impressions of their body language in these first official photos.
“It is definitely a love bond with an intimate union that will go the distance,” she says. “This photo shouts to the world that she is his prize and he has won her.
“In the larger photo, you can see he worships her and has found his princess bride. I get this impression from the manner in which he is holding onto her tightly in both photos, as if to say: ‘She is mine and I don’t want to let her go.’
“Note where his hands are placed – gripping her hips in a primal, sexualised grasp – on a sensual part of the body associated with life and procreation. This shows his sexual attraction to her – he wants her and to have a family with her.
Amal’s father has reportedly already told George that “it’s time for grandchildren”, and from our expert’s evaluation, it sounds like it won’t be long before we hear the pitter-patter of tiny feet!
“I wouldn’t be in the least bit surprised if children are on the scene in the next few years or even earlier – a honeymoon baby could be on the horizon,” Philipa predicts.
These new images also provide a fascinating insight into who of the pair may be in charge.
“He is leaning in toward her, so she may be more dominant in the relationship behind closed doors. She may be the power broker with her inner-strength and charm,” our body language expert says.
“Strong alpha men are attracted to strong, flexible and dominant women who challenge them. He is captivated by her.
“To outsiders, he will appear to be the leader but she will most likely be the decision-maker at the end of the day. If she doesn’t want to do something, she will let him know and I think he will most likely acquiesce.”
