“It’s time for grandchildren”- Amal’s dad tells George Clooney!

It has only been a mere four days since George Clooney wed Amal Alamuddin, but it seems all the attention has already turned to when the genetically-blessed duo plan to have children.

The actor’s father-in-law Ramzi Alamuddin has reportedly urged the 53-year-old and his high-flying lawyer daughter Amal, to start having kids as soon as they can.

In fact, Mr Alamuddin is so keen to become a grandfather that he may have had a word in George’s ear at the couple’s wedding reception on Saturday night.

“Now it’s time for grandchildren,” the excited father-of-the-bride apparently said in his speech.

So are children on the cards for Hollywood’s glamour couple? Only time wil tell.

Back in 2006, the Ocean’s Eleven star opened up to People Magazine about marriage and children.

“I think it’s the most responsible thing you can do, to have kids,” he said.

“It’s not something to be taken lightly. I don’t have that gene that people have to replicate. But everything in my life has changed over time.”

On Monday, the newlyweds were spotted visiting the 13th-century Venice’s Ca’ Farsetti Palace to officially sign the wedding register.

Wearing a chic cream ensemble and an oversized hat, Amal, who is quickly becoming a fashion icon, was all smiles as she joined her husband at their private civil service.

The couple, who announced their engagement in April, tied the knot at one of the world’s most expensive hotels – the Palazzo Papadopoli, Hotel Aman in Venice.
