Nick Cannon has broken his silence about his marriage trouble with wife Mariah Carey.
In a series of tweets, Nick openly wrote about the pair’s recent marriage woes, saying that he couldn’t keep silent on the matter any longer.
“I have personally been absent from social media for the past few months for obvious reasons but I feel the need to finally speak up…”.
In the 19-tweet rant, Nick, 33, addressed recent reports that he and Mariah, 44, have been living apart and that their marriage has been on the rocks.
Nick affirmed that he does not hold any hard feelings against Mariah and, indeed that he still cares for her very deeply.
Nick went on to share his frustrations about false reports and accusations.
“What infuriates me most is to hear people slander @MariahCarey . I will forever be in debted to her for blessing me with our children…”
Still clearly defensive of Mariah, Nick is keen to see that neither party gets treated unfairly by the press amidst the current divorce reports. He then reiterated: ‘I love @MariahCarey and that will never change!!!”
Nick’s main request was that his family’s privacy be respected during their current difficult time.
Nick and Mariah have been together for six years since they wed in 2008, just one month after meeting. The couple have two children together, twins Moroccan and Monroe, age 3.
