Princess Caroline and the couple were attending celebrations for Monaco’s National day, along with other members of the Monegasque royal family including Caroline’s other children Pierre Casiraghi and Princess Alexandra as well as her siblings Princess Stephanie, Prince Albert and his wife, the pregnant Princess Charlene.

The usually stern Charlene appeared relaxed and happy and even gave a rare show of public affection, sharing a kiss with Prince Albert, but there was no sign of her baby bump as she wore a loose, flowing outfit ahead of her due date next month when she will give birth to twins – the first children for the royal couple.

It was baby Sacha who stole the show though with his adorable blonde locks and cheery disposition as his grandmother Caroline couldn’t get enough of doting on the cutie!

Andrea Casiraghi and his wife Tatiana Santo Domingo welcomed baby Sacha in July 2013, before tying the knot later that year.

The royal family all stepped out to the Palais Princier de Monaco where the whole family made an appearance on the balcony.

The adorable 18-month old Sacha Casiraghi stole the show at the Monaco National Day celebrations as he made his first public appearance.

Doting Grandma Princess Caroline of Hanover couldn’t get enough of showing off her adorable grandson.

The dashing young royal looked reminiscent of a young John F Kennedy Jnr as he stood to attention in the Palace courtyard alongside his grandmother and his father Andrea Casiraghi.

Sacha’s mother Tatiana Santo Domingo, 30, holds on tight as the royals step out to the balcony, but his Grandmother Princess Caroline won’t stop fussing over him!

Princess Charlene gave the crowd a smile – a great rarity for the usual stern Princess, as reigning monarch Prince Albert II gave the crowd a wave.

Princess Caroline, her daughter Princess Alexandra, grandson Sacha, son Andrea and sister Princess Stephanie of Monaco all look as though they are having a riotous good time at the National Day celebrations!

A rare public show of affection as Princess Charlene and Prince Albert share a kiss on the balcony that has echoes of the royal kiss shared between Prince William and Duchess Catherine on their royal wedding day.
