After Kim Kardashian got nude for a magazine cover in an attempt to “Break the Internet”, other celebrities and the world wide web have reacted accordingly.

Kim got her oiled-up butt out for US fashion title Paper Magazine on a cover that featured the simple title “Break the Internet Kim Kardashian”.

That is indeed what her naked backside seems to have done, as fellow celebrities, comedians and general online pranksters take to cracking jokes about the now-infamous image of her bare, rotund posterior.

US comedian and former talk-show host Chelsea Handler tried to match Kim Kardashian in the nudity stakes to challenge social media censorship rules, while other stars like Glee’s Naya Rivera and Lorde seemed far more disapproving.

Kim’s hubby Kanye was of course anything but disapproving and marked his territory by re-Tweeting Kim’s pneumatic image captioned simply with the phrase “#Allday”. We get it Kanye. Calm down.

Meme-collating website and cat-video hub Buzzfeed attempted to “Un-Photoshop” Kim to make her appear more realistic and there were a whole lot of memes comparing Kim’s oiled-up posterior to glazed Krispy Kreme donuts.

In Paper Magazine’s mission statement of breaking the internet, the magazine writes “There is no other person that we can think of who is up to the task than one Kim Kardashian West. A pop culture fascination able to generate headlines just by leaving her house, Kim is what makes the web tick.”

From around the web, here are some of the most notable reactions.

Chelsea also posted this image questioning Instagram’s nudity censorship rules.

Chelsea’s new post was a follow up to this image she posted a couple of weeks ago in which she did her best imitation of a shirtless horse-riding Vladimir Putin but which was swiftly removed by Instagram within minutes.

Someone decided to makeover Kim’s rather prominent posterior into an equine one.

Glee’s Naya Rivera left this rather disapproving comment on Kim’s Instagram post of the cover, which was rather ironic given that [she has shared quite a few butt-selfies or “belfies” as they’re known herself](http://www.womansday.com.au/celebrity/photo-galleries/2014/7/celebrity-bikini-selfies/celebrity-bikini-selfies-image-31/).

Kiwi songstress Lorde also retweeted Kim’s picture with the caption “Mom”

Meme-collating website Buzzfeed decided to “Un-Photoshop” Kim. In other words they retouched her image….to look like it hadn’t been retouched.

The aim of the exercise was to give her a more realistic waistline than the exaggeratedly small one that was featured on the cover.

US Comedian Dane Cook did his own version of un-photoshopping Kim.

Some Brits decided to parody the bike-riding Mayor of London Boris Johnson and the trend for city bicycle hire schemes that he kick-started. Apparently Kim;s backside makes for the perfect bike rack!

Another internet meme.

Kanye West is always keen to stamp his name on his wife’s “work”

The greasy appearance of Kim’s oiled backside elicited quite a few comparisons to glazed donuts.

Yet more meme-makers took to reminding everyone of Kim’s humble beginnings as Paris Hilton’s assistant.

Perez Hilton posted this snap, taking the “Break the Internet” slogan to heart by letting Kim take over Google.

Krispy Kim – another glazed donut comparison.

…and the inevitable peach comparison!
