The brave former Home and Away star took to Instagram to share a smiling, make-up free selfie with her mum whilst in the midst of her treatment for Hodgkin lymphoma. She has previously shared photos of herself hitting the beach and paddle boarding as she refuses to let her diagnosis stop her from living life to its fullest.

Tessa announced in September that she had been diagnosed with the disease, which is the same type of cancer that Delta Goodrem was diagnosed with in 2003.

Tessa and her NRL player husband Nate Myles released a statement at the time, thanking fans for their support as Tess prepared to undergo treatment.

“Tessa will be undergoing chemotherapy over the next few months. Tessa and Nate would like to thank all for their well wishes and would ask for privacy during this very difficult time,” the couple said in a statement to the Daily Telegraph.

Tessa and Nate, returned home to the Gold Coast from LA where they had been living as Tess pursued an international acting career, so that Tess could undergo treatment closer to home.

Chemotherapy can be an incredibly gruelling which can result in extreme nausea, fatigue and hair loss, amongst other symptoms, but Tessa seems to be keeping her chin up and doing well.

Delta Goodrem was just 18 when she was diagnosed with the disease in 2003. Now 29, Delta has since made a full recovery.
