Is the Duchess following in the same footsteps as many other celebs and dropping by Springfield to guest-star in an episode, as a posh neighbour perhaps? Sadly no.

We can always continue to hope that the long-running cartoon will be blessed by a royal presence, but in the meantime, we have these illustrations by illustrator and blogger aleXsandro Palombo to help us envisage what that would look like.

Posting from his blog Humor Chic, Alexsandro has reimagined Duchess Kate with the Simpsons’ simplified form and signature yellow skin in many of her most famous outfits, posing inside and outside the walls of Buckingham Palace.

Alexsandro is perhaps best known for his other “Simpsonizations” of celebs, including his reinterpretation of the infamous Kim and Kanye Vogue colour from earlier this year.
