It is the first child for the couple who could not have been more excited with anticipation in the lead up to the birth.
It is believed that both mother and baby are doing well.

Aussie actress Kate Ritchie and her husband Stuart Webb have announced the birth of their first child, a beautiful baby girl, via Facebook.
Kate posted this to her Facebook page at the end of July: “I’VE BEEN THINKING A LOT about how life is about to change for me. The anticipation, the excitement and not really knowing what lies ahead has made me all reflective! Of the things I have known, enjoyed and am thankful for.. There’s way too much to cover but I thought I’d share even just a few things, from the last twelve months or so, here on my page if you’re interested? It might even remind you to cast your mind back over some good times and share them too! KR x”
Kate posted this beautiful snap to Instagram from her baby shower weekend: “WHAT A BEAUTIFUL WEEKEND of love for our baby. Here is a little snippet I wanted to share with all of you who continue to send us your words of wisdom and best wishes too.. If only our bub knew the fuss! KR x”

Getting broody in the lead up to the birth of her baby, Kate posted this snap to her Facebook page in July of her posing with her baby nephew captioned: “HAS TO BE MY FRONTRUNNER for best time spent this week.. Bleary eyed alongside my beautiful nephew this morning. I am one very proud and lucky Aunty! KR x”
Another cute gift for the impending birth, Kate captioned this one, “Practising the moves!”
Kate didn’t let pregnancy stop her from stepping out on the red carpet and was positively glowing when she attended the VIP Coldplay concert in Sydney in June.
