Actor Ben Affleck is the latest celebrity to take part in the ALS ice bucket challenge.

If you have been wondering why stars, including Oprah Winfrey, Britney Spears, JLO and Justin Timberlake are suddenly tipping ice cold buckets of water over their heads, you’re not alone!

It’s all part of showing support for ALS, also referred to as Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis. The challenge requires you to either donate money to an ALS charity, or dump a bucket of ice over your head.

When you have completed the challenge you nominate up to three friends to do the same within a 24-hour period.

The hunky Argo star showed off his cute and generous side while accepting the challenge from actor Tyler Perry who nominated him.

In the adorable video posted to Instagram, the 42-year-old father of three shouts out to four other people to jump on the band wagon, including his gorgeous wife, actress Jennifer Garner.

“Tyler Perry called me out so I’m going to take the challenge [and] I’m also going to make a donation,” the Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice actor told the camera.

“I guess I have to pick four other people so my people are going to be folks who I know from firsthand experience look good in a wet T-shirt,” Ben added before throwing out the challenge to comedian Jimmy Kimmel, actor Neil Patrick Harris and good pal Matt Damon.

Leaving the best for last, the actor then nominated “the lady with the bucket” who was about to drench him, aka Jennifer.

The 42-year-old actress is then seen dumping the bucket of ice over her husband before a playful Ben grabs his darling wife and throws her into their pool.

Meanwhile in the background, the duo’s adorable children can be  heard laughing their little heads off.
