The Monegasque royal couple looked happier than ever as they attended a church service to honour St Dévote’s Day – the national day for Monaco’s patron saint.
The normally solemn-looking Princess Charlene looked positively radiant as she smiled a wide grin and chatted with the locals and the conductor of the service Monsignor Bernard Barsi.
Clearly motherhood suits the 36-year-old former Olympic swimmer who welcomed Princess Gabriella and Prince Jacques on December 10 – just in time for Christmas!
The news of the royal birth was met with great celebrations by the people of Monaco, as their arrival signalled the first birth of a royal heir since their father was born 56 years earlier.
The couple officially presented the twins to their public at the start of the year, when they stepped out to the balcony of the royal palace to wave to the people.
St Dévote’s Day however marks the first official engagement that they have attended outside the palace since the birth – there was no sign of the adorable new royal twins however! No doubt they were tucked up warm at home.
