Kate Middleton’s days as a commoner are coming to an end. On April 29, she and Prince William will exchange vows in front of a global TV audience of billions. Although she is bound to get wedding jitters, level-headed Kate is taking everything in her stride.
Kate, 29, and William, 28, have been dating for nearly eight years and she has been to plenty of high-profile society nuptials to know what to expect. She’s intent on putting her stamp on a unique 21st century royal wedding. “There’s a lot of work to do, but they’re doing it in between William’s flying and Catherine’s other commitments,” a senior aide reveals. “They’re pretty much living and breathing the wedding at the moment.”
Flowers: Florist to the stars Simon Lycett believes the couple will have traditional spring flowers such as roses, delphiniums and sweet peas. He organised 30,000 narcissus daffodils for the 2005 wedding of Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall.
