Duchess Catherine to make royal comeback after suffering severe morning sickness

After spending some much needed time recovering from acute morning sickness, a pregnant Duchess Catherine is expected to return to her royal engagements next month.

Woman’s Day hears that Her Royal Highness is set to resume her official duties when she makes her right royal comeback in the coming weeks.

Her return to the spotlight comes just weeks after Kensington Palace announced that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are expecting their second child.

They also confirmed that the 32-year-old was being treated for Hyperemesis Gravidarum – the same illness she battled during her first pregnancy with Prince George.

And although she hasn’t been confined to a hospital bed this time around, Prince William’s wife has been under strict doctor’s orders to take it easy, which meant having to cancel scheduled public appearances.

In fact, the last time the world saw Catherine was back in August when she joined William and Harry at the Tower of London to commemorate the WWI centenary.

Laying low has meant that the Duchess has had to miss out on some recent royal engagements, including the opening ceremony of the Invictus Games which was organised by her brother-in-law Prince Harry.

She also had to cancel her first solo trip to Malta, where she was due to represent the Queen. Luckily though, her devoted husband Prince William went in her place.

“Catherine has asked me to say how very sorry she is that she couldn’t be the one to pass on The Queen’s greetings to you all,” William told royal at the country’s 50th anniversary Independence Day celebrations.

“She was looking forward to coming here, and I know she hopes very much that she will be able to visit in the future.”
