Duke and Duchess of Cambridge expecting second child palace confirms

A baby brother or sister is on the way for Prince George, as the palace confirms Duchess Catherine is pregnant!

Clarence House has confirmed that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are expecting their second child!

The happy news was shared by Clarence House with a statement on their twitter page and website.

“Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Cambridge is expecting their second child,” a statement on the Clarence House website said.

“The Queen and members of both families are delighted with the news.”

Catherine, who had a difficult first few months of pregnancy with her first child Prince George, is once again suffering from severe morning sickness.

“As with her first pregnancy, The Duchess is suffering from Hyperemesis Gravidarum. Her Royal Highness will no longer accompany The Duke of Cambridge on their planned engagement in Oxford today,” the statement continued.

“The Duchess of Cambridge is being treated by doctors at Kensington Palace.”

The couple have made no secret of their desire for a family and since becoming engaged have taken things “one step at a time”.

The Queen is said to be overjoyed with the news of a new additon to the royal family.
