Duchess Kate confirms final official appearance before royal baby arrives

Duchess Catherine has confirmed her final public appearance before she and Prince William welcome the arrival of the new royal baby.

There’s not long to go now! Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge will make her final official royal appearance as a mother of one on 11th March, before she takes off on maternity leave to officially become a mother of TWO royal bubs.

With the royal baby expected to be due in mid-late April, Catherine is keeping herself quite busy right up until the last possible moment.

The Duchess has already been spotted out and about on multiple public appearances so far this year, she’s kept it close to home though, appearing only in the UK, mainly near home in London.

Her final official appearance before the birth will be near London too – at the seaside town of Margate in Kent where she will visit the Turner Contemporary art gallery and the Clore learning studio.

The Duchess, who is patron of the National Portrait Gallery and a great supporter of the arts, will view an exhibition in Margate called Self: Image and Identity which features self-portraits on loan from that gallery.

She will then meet with artists and local children supported by The Clore arts learning centre, which she also visited in January this year.

Having studied arts at St Andrews university, the Duchess is passionate about the field and is also patron of London-based charity ‘The Art Room’ which runs The Clore program and offers art as therapy to young people who are experiencing emotional and behavioural difficulties or facing challenges in their lives.

Catherine, 33, also recently released a rare video message campaigning for children who face challenges in their lives.

The Duchess is passionate about helping children in need – and she always gets on with them very well too! No doubt this will come in handy as the royal brood grows and she and Prince William prepare to welcome Prince George’s little brother or sister.
