The Bachelorette Australia’s Sophie Monk admitted that she loves a bad boy, but according to recent eliminated contestant Blake Colman, it’s not him that’s the bad boy of the group – it’s Jarrod Woodgate.

The Perth-based entrepreneur says that despite a hometown date that only confirmed his fluttery feelings for the Bachelorette, he lost in the end, and he knew it the moment Jarrod received a rose. “When Jarrod got called first I was like, ‘Yeah, I’m going,’” he dishes to NW.

But he’s not sad he’s left the mansion – he’s worried. Why? Well he says Soph has no clue who the real Jarrod is. “Sophie doesn’t see everything that us boys have to see,” he reveals.

Here, Blake spills the tea – and it burns!

Were you ready to leave the mansion?

Not at all, no! I was super surprised when Jarrod got called first. I don’t know what it was. I mean, Apollo and Stu are such great guys and they’ve had way more time with Sophie than I have, and when Jarrod [received a rose] I was like, ‘Yeah I’m done’.

Blake was shocked when Sophie gave a rose to Jarrod!

You seem surprised that Jarrod’s still around…

We all were surprised by it.

You had only had one single date with Sophie, then it was hometowns. Were you ready for Soph to meet the fam?

No, I don’t think anyone would bring their parents to meet their girlfriends within such a small period of time. It was a big deal for all of us, especially myself, to actually have faith in Sophie and trust in Sophie that everything’s going to be OK.

Did hometowns change your relationship with Sophie?

Yeah, for sure! I mean the whole time I’ve been patient and when Sophie opened up to me and said that it’s OK to be emotional and open up, I felt safe, you know? And my single date was just the best date ever – me and Sophie connected so well so the next step was seeing if we all gel together.

There were so many barrels of laughs at the family dinner and when we hung… I looked at that and thought I can really see a future with both our families together because Sophie says that my family is very similar to hers and yeah, it was a very special moment.

Blake thought Sophie got on well with his family.

Was your connection strong enough to compete with the other three?

100 per cent! What me and Sophie had was really strong and I mean, like, we just enjoyed each other’s company and we’re still mates to this day. I mean, things happen… I saw one thing and she saw another and I respect that. These things happen.

Sophie did call you a bad boy – and Jarrod seems to agree. Did you think that she gave you a fair judgement?

I’m not really a bad boy it’s just, uh, I don’t really know how to explain that. Like Jarrod is who he is. At the end of the day, we just wanted the best for Sophie, so I think Australia will definitely be shocked. I mean at the end of the day would you rather want me or Jarrod to go? But I had so much fun with Sophie and [she’s] definitely a great friend to have now. I just hope she finds The One.

“I’m not really a bad boy.”

How did you take it when you were eliminated?

Um, to a degree. I was very surprised when Jarrod got the rose first I was just like, ‘Woah’ and obviously Sophie doesn’t see everything that us boys have to see. So you know very surprising!

So, there have been some rumours that you are currently dating a former Bachie Babe…

Me and Tara [Pavlovic] are not dating! [Laughs]

Well if it’s not Tara is there another lady on the scene?

I’m single – I’m just getting back on with life.

Would you consider appearing on the Bachelor in Paradise?

[Laughs] No it’s not my thing. I’ve got too much work to catch up on.
