During the grand final showdown each finalist brightened the ballroom with their most memorable dances from the season as selected by the judges.

While Home And Away star Lynne McGranger nailed her jazz routine, competition favourite Ricki-Lee Coulter came out guns blazing in her quest for mirrorball glory and put on a paso doble performance of a life-time.

But it was David’s fancy foot-work that had the audience on their toes.

Proving footy players can dance, the 31-year-old let loose on the dance floor and cemented his status as one of the best dances the competition has ever seen.

Meanwhile, the two-and-a-half hour finale also featured special performances by guests including Guy Sebastian.

The popular reality dance competition returned to our TV screens in September with an all-new cast of stars stepping out onto the dance floor, including NRL legend Matt Cooper, Home and Away heartthrob Tai Hara and professional snowboarder Torah Bright.
