Dee and Darren return for The Block Triple Threat

The all-star line-up has been announced for the new season of The Block: Triple Threat.

After controversial couple Dee and Darren Jolly walked away from the end of the last season with only a $10,000 profit, it now seems they were back hard at work on the new season only one week later.

Dee and Darren have been branded by some as television’s most-hated couple, but if their return to the grindstone after such a short break doesn’t show enthusiasm, we don’t know what does!

No doubt the Double Ds will be hoping to win back some of the shortfall after the auction of their apartment in The Block Glasshouse fetched far less than they had hoped for in the season’s emotional shock finale.

The couple are one of three returning couples and six new couples to be featured in Nine’s new series which is due to air in early 2015.

The other returning two returning couples are the Victorian Bec and George and West Australians Matt and Kim – both from The Block Sky High series.

The six new couples face an even bigger challenge than the returnees as they will have to face a series of eliminations which will seem them whittled down to just three couples.  Two of the returning couples will end up eliminated too.

As for location of the new season, producers have sourced an old apartment building in Darling Street, South Yarra – an upmarket suburb of inner Melbourne. No doubt this will appeal to Dee and Darren who were infamous in the last series in their taste for the finer things!

The Block: Triple Threat is due to air on Nine in early 2015.
