Mandy McElhinney to play Gina Rinehart

Billionaire mining magnate Gina Rinehart will be played by actress Mandy McElhinney in a mini-series about her life.

The Nine Network has confirmed the Love Child star will play the mining magnate in the telemovie Gina vs Rose: The House Of Hancock.

Produced by Michael Cordell, Claudia Karvan and Paul Bennett, the telemovie will follow the life of Australia’s richest person from her father Lang Hancock to her feud with Hancock’s second wife Rose.

Filming for the mini-series is expected to start later this month.
