Disney’s ridiculously popular animation Frozen is making an on-screen comeback!

After the runaway success of the 2013 film, many Frozen fans, big and small, have not stopped playing the movie and it’s soundtrack on repeat since its release. Now parents and Frozen-fans alike can rejoice – for there is more new material on the way!

The filmmakers have reunited, along with the ENTIRE original cast, to create a seven minute short-film that will screen in cinemas, accompanying Disney’s next expected smash-hit live action movie, Cinderella – which hits cinemas in March.

The animated short will feature centre around Princess Anna (voiced by Kristen Bell), Princess Elsa (Idina Menzel), Kristoff (Jonathan Groff) and the snowman Olaf (Josh Gad).

This little girl gets VERY angry when her Mum laughs during her singing performance of Frozen!

“The gang is back together. And literally it’s like we never went away,” Josh told USA Today. “Every day we’re reminded of Frozen in our lives. So it feels like a continuation of a saga that has many parts still untold. It felt like coming home again after a short absence.”

Perhaps most significantly, the short will feature an all-new theme-tune which could potentially be even catchier than its predecessor, ‘Let it Go’. It’s a potentially worrisome thought for parents around the world who have been forced to play the ridiculously catchy previous track, performed by the angelic-voiced Idina Menzel, ad nauseam since its first release!

“If history is any indicator, kids will go nuts,” says Josh aka Olaf of the new material. Who could blame them? Even Beyonce’s gorgeous little girl Blue Ivy is a massive fan and so Bey threw her a Frozen themed bash for her third birthday.

As all the favourite characters return to screen, co-directors Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee, reveal that there will also be some changes in store for them.

“It’s another side of Elsa the audience hasn’t seen before and we hadn’t really played with in the original feature,” says Chris.

The landscape of the Frozen kingdom is also changed, with warmer weather Anna’s summer solstice birthday. The directors promise other surprises as well, but at its core, the new story will still keep the two sisters, Anna and Elsa, and firm support for one another, at its heart.

“We continue this story of these two sisters, who only had each other growing up together,” says Josh. “They are still supporting each other. That’s what this is about.”

The short will also feature an all new theme-song that’s said to be even catchier than it’s predecessor ‘Let it go’, performed by Idina Menzal. And, as Josh aka Olaf puts it: “If history is any indicator, kids will go nuts.”

“The gang is back together. And literally it’s like we never went away,” Josh aka Olaf told USA Today.

“Every day we’re reminded of Frozen in our lives,” Josh said. ‘So it feels like a continuation of a saga that has many parts still untold. It felt like coming home again after a short absence.”
