Chrissie Swan has been shedding kilos before our very eyes as she braves harsh jungle challenges and drops three dress sizes on I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here!
The popular TV and Radio personality has dropped at least 15kg since the reality show, kickstarting a new push to slim down and transform her life.
The latest shock photos of shrinking Chrissie in South Africa’s harsh terrain prove her determination to live up to her declaration that she’ll make 2015 her year!
Over the past week, her clothes appeared noticeably baggier clothes while her face looked very slimmed-down – prompting her campmate Andrew Daddo to congratulate her, saying, “Jeez, you’ve lost some weight!”
The crash diet of a small ration of oats, beans and rice a day has seen the show’s stars drop a total of more than 75kg.
For the 41-year-old mother of three, it’s been a personal triumph after Chrissie admitted, “I’ve let myself go”.
“I haven’t been looking after myself for years,” she revealed in the jungle. “I’ve just been too busy – you know how it is.”
But that’s all going to change this year, with Chrissie vowing to put her wellbeing first. “This is my year… it’s the first time in a long time, since I was 30 really, where I haven’t been locked into a job or had a newborn baby,” she said, fighting back tears.
“Now I’ve got some time, I’m desperate to just look after myself… a bit of me being me instead of just being tired or going to work or taking the next job.”
The show has been an emotional journey for the star who also broke down in tears on air over her son’s hearing loss.
Entering the reality show as a proud size 22, Chrissie is not ashamed of being overweight and has become a poster girl for plus-size women.
But this year she’s more determined than ever to set a healthy example for her kids, Leo, 6, Kit and 23-month-old Peggy.
