Family and community farewell domestic violence victim Tina Kontozis

The Bundeena community have pulled together to farewell Tina Kontozis, almost ten days after her tragic death.

The 51-year-old mother of one was allegedly bashed to death with a cricket bat over the Anzac Day long weekend. Her ex-partner Stephan Boyd has been charged with her murder.

To her community, Tina was a “radiantly beautiful person” and dedicated childcare worker.

Hundreds of people attended the funeral which was held at Saint Stylianos Greek Orthodox Church in Gymea.

The SMH report that Tina’s eulogy was read by a priest. Her family remembered her as a philanthropist who cared for others throughout her life.

“Nothing was ever an issue for her,” the eulogy said.

“She always looked out for her family and friends.

“Tina always saw the best in people and would constantly welcome anyone into her home with a smile.”

Mr Boyd is due to appear in Central Local Court in June
