Decades after she sizzled in the Mello Yello ad, the bikini legend is back, as sexy as ever
Ask dazzling TV model Alex Wileman how she feels about posing for our bikini shoot at 52 and she laughs. “I’ve spent my life in swimsuits, they’re like a second skin to me, so posing in a bikini doesn’t bring on a wave of panic attacks.”
Best remembered for her time as host of The Cartoon Connection and the Lotto draw, Alex is happy to bare some skin for the camera, at a time when most of us are reaching for a cover-up. But these days, she says, she’s a realist.
“I know I’ll never look the way I did in 1983. I’m totally comfortable with my body – accepting its pesky sags and everything else that comes with age.
“What you see is all me. Hand on my heart – though I indulge in the occasional spray tan!”
