Dancing Doctors get festive for Christmas

Mariah Carey’s ‘All I want for Christmas’ has been given a medical makeover as the dancing Doctors of Pindara Private hospital on the Gold Coast use it to get their workplace into the festive spirit.

Leading Gold Coast Oral Surgeon Dr Shannon Webber uploaded the clip to Youtube and amongst the dancing participants staff joining in  are an anaesthetist, an ear nose and throat specialist, an orthopaedic surgeon, an obstetrician and an emergency department doctor.

At the centrepiece, lip-synching along to Mariah’s famous five-octave range is the hospital’s chief executive officer Trish Hogan.

The same team of Doctors rose to notoriety last month when another clip of them dancing to Maroon 5’s ‘Moves like Jagger’ in the operating theatre went viral – currently standing at just under 120,000 views on Youtube.

Pindara hospital staff show off their dance moves in the operating theatre.

A spokeswoman from the Queensland hospital told the Gold Coast Bulletin that that video too was created in the festive spirit as the hospital staff had some fun in the lead up to the silly season:

“The doctors and nurses did the video in the lead up to our Christmas party, it was amazing to watch them record the video, they were so focused and driven, as they always are with everything they do.”

The doctors soon change from their white coats into some festive Christmas boxers!

The new clip, titled ‘What Pindara Doctors want for Christmas’ looks set to go viral too, as it has only been online for one week but already it has already amassed over ten thousand views on Youtube.

The videos are reportedly part of an annual tradition for the staff – if only all workplaces were this much fun!
