Congratulations are in order for Mel Grieg and her fiancé Steven Pollack, who recently tied the knot in beautiful Byron Bay.
Hand-in-hand with her proud dad, the glowing former radio host couldn’t wipe the smile off her face as she said married the man who’s been with her through thick in a small and intimate ceremony on November 20.
Surrounded by just 36 of their closest family and friends, Mel, and Steven promised to spend their lives together, exchanging vows along with ?a poem describing their special, unbreakable bond.
“I finally understand what people mean when they say something took their breath away,” Steven, 28, told Woman’s Day shortly after the ceremony.
“She looks just beautiful and I’m so glad she’s happy.”
Sick and in hospital, Mel’s mother was unfortunately had to miss her little girl’s special day, but she was there in spirit.
For the beaming bride, 33, who’d been counting down the days until her wedding on a special calendar – the occasion was a whole lot of fun and marked an end to the terrible depression that has plagued her since December 2012.
After finding herself at the centre of condemnation– Mel was infamously involved in a hoax phone call about the Duchess of Cambridge – the radio DJ was thrilled to celebrate her new-found happiness with those who had stuck by her the entire time.

With Steven by her ?side, Mel now knows she can face anything that ?comes her way.
“We’ve obviously been through a very hard time and he just never stopped caring,” Mel said of her groom. “He’s such a beautiful person and I love his heart.”
The pair met at a charity event for the Queensland floods nearly four years ago – Mel was hosting and Steven was a topless waiter.
But despite his manly physique, Mel insists it was Steven’s bright and happy smile that made him stand out.
As for the future, the pair plan to have children – how many ?they don’t know – and according to their friends and family, ?they’ll be wonderful parents.
