I found my mum on Facebook!

I found my mum on facebook!

Katrina struggled for years to find her birth family – until one fateful friend request.

After years of searching and heartache, Katrina Hunter had almost lost all hope of finding her biological family. But something told her to give it one last try.

Now the Sunshine Coast mum of five is happier than ever after a miraculous reunion through a last-ditch Facebook search to find her mother Marlene.

“The first time I saw my mum, I thought, ‘It’s like looking at me in the future!’” laughs Katrina, who also celebrated her 40th birthday at a tearful family reunion.

“I went from not looking like a single soul to looking like a whole lot of people.” Katrina, who was fostered out at four months of age, always felt different from her 10 adopted siblings. Although desperate to learn her story, she knew her foster parents wouldn’t approve.
