Convicted drug smuggler Schapelle Corby will be affected by boyfriend Ben Panangian’s recent arrest on drug charges.
Schapelle Corby’s Indonesian boyfriend Ben Panangian was arrested in Bali last week after allegedly being caught with marijuana during a drug bust by police.
Schapelle’s continuing parole from Bali’s Kerobokan Prison hinges on the condition that stays away from drugs and crime.

It appears that while the convicted drug smuggler won’t be locked up again, she will receive a warning from the parole board, who will now monitor her more closely.
“With this case, we will tighten supervision for her,” parole board chief Ketut Artha toldAAP. “We will also warn her and visit her more often.
“Early next month she is due to report to the parole office and we will warn her.”

Ketut Artha may also personally warn her about keeping company such as Ben.
Schapelle’s parole officers just recently admonished the young Australian for covering her face on visits to the parole office, as it is thought to be rude.
She will have to be careful not to further taint her behaviour record on parole. Officers recently expressed surprise that Schapelle had not yet secured a job in Bali, despite having been released more than six months ago.

Rather than settling into a nine-to-five routine, it seems she is enjoying her freedom. Woman’s Day recently obtained pictures of Schapelle lounging by the pool and drinking beers at the beach.

Schapelle, 34, and boyfriend Ben, 32, first met behind bars in 2006 as fellow inmates at the notorious Kerobokan Prison.
Ben was serving a three-and-a-half-year sentence for drug possession, while his Australian girlfriend was two years into her 20-year sentence for attempting to smuggle 4.2kg of marijuana into the popular tourist destination.
But their friendship quickly blossomed into something more. In fact, Schapelle’s sister Mercedes once credited Ben for helping Schapelle through her darkest days behind bars.
