The floral Givenchy gown Kim Kardashian wore to the Met Gala has attracted a lot of attention – but for all the wrong reasons.
Funnyman Robin Williams is even getting in on the joke, comparing her dress to the one he wore in hit 1993 movie Mrs Doubtfire.
The 61-year-old comedian recently tweeted a picture of the two dresses, saying, “I think I wore it better.”
Kim’s custom gown, which included matching floral gloves and heels, was designed by Riccardo Tisci. He’s come out swinging in defence of the look.
“I think she looked amazing,” Tisci told Women’s Wear Daily. “She was the most beautiful pregnant woman I dressed in my career.”
Riccardo, who is friends with Kim’s hip-hop boyfriend Kanye West, the soon-to-be father of her child, said he chose the look because “when you celebrate something, you give people flowers”.
“I said, ‘We should give her our punk moment with a romantic, beautiful, flower-printed dress,’” Tisci said.
“I have dressed many pregnant women in the past. People can say what they want. To me, pregnancy is the most beautiful thing in the world.”
The dress was made from floral printed jersey with grommet details that attached to sleeves, a turtleneck and gloves.
