Nicole Kidman opens up about facing her first Christmas without her dad

Just months after losing her father, Nicole Kidman is preparing to face her first Christmas without him.

The Oscar winning actress, who is still struggling to come to terms with her dad’s sudden passing, said her tight-knit family will be supporting and comforting each other this festive season.

“We’ve had some terrible things happen this year in our family,” Nicole told Good Morning Britain.

“We will be still holding tight to each other as that’s all you can do at Christmas, hold tight to each other.”

Dr Antony Kidman, a well-respected Sydney psychologist, died after suffering a heart attack in September while he was visiting his daughter Antonia in Singapore. He was 75.

During the interview, the 47-year-old who is currently busy traveling the world to promote her new film Paddington, also spoke about her eight-year marriage to country crooner Keith Urban.

“We work really hard to keep our relationship alive and to keep it incredibly deep and intimate,” the mother-of-four said.

Earlier this week, the stunning couple packed on the PDA and couldn’t avoid looking adorable as they flirted with one another at the world premiere of Nic’s latest movie about a lonely bear who is found in London’s Paddington Station.

Just days later, the mother-of-four stepped out for the Agon Channel launch party in Milan, Italy, rocking a gorgeous Prada gown.
